Each plate is made through a combination of drawing, scratching, etching, and engraving. After the plate is created specially mixed inks are then wiped into the grooves of the plate.

The excess ink is removed from the surface by wiping the plate with a variety of different fabrics and papers.

When prepared, each plate is aligned on the bed of an etching press, and placed in accordance with the story I have decided to tell.

Damp paper is then placed on top of the plate, and then run through the press under 2000 pounds of pressure. Under this pressure, the paper melds with the plate and pulls the ink from the grooves resulting in the print.
